Barr. P. T. Afangideh embarked on a unique academic journey, earning a double Masters Degree in Comparative Law from Sanford University and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health from Faulkner University. This diverse educational background, coupled with his membership in the American Counseling Association (ACA) and his current pursuit of a Ph.D. in Developmental Counseling, provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the legal, clinical, and developmental aspects of mental health. Witnessing firsthand the lack of access to quality mental healthcare in Africa, Barr. Afangideh felt a calling to make a difference. He envisioned a future where Africans could receive the support and treatment they needed to thrive. This vision led him to establish the African Mental Health Center, an organization dedicated to providing culturally sensitive and accessible mental health services to communities across the continent. With his unique expertise, unwavering commitment, and ongoing doctoral studies, Barr. Afangideh is determined to break down the stigma surrounding mental health in Africa and build a brighter future for those in need.
